Blue Bird Award nominations now open

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — SEPTEMBER 24, 2024) Nominations are now open for the Student Government Association Blue Bird Award.

This award recognizes students who have a strong commitment to:  

  • Volunteerism: Those who demonstrate an ongoing dedication to serving others.  
  • Community Building: Those who engage in community building, showcasing a clear impact on their surroundings. 
  • Leadership: Those who Exemplify leadership by promoting equity, collaborating effectively with peers and the community, and empowering others in their leadership roles. 

To nominate a student or yourself, please submit your application using the Blue Bird Award Nomination Form. Students must log in with their SUNY Empire credentials; an optional photo submission can accompany the application. 

Award recipients will be invited to attend the Student Conference on November 1, 2024, where they will be honored during an evening ceremony.  

The deadline to submit nominations is October 14, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
