Chief Diversity Officer named to board of National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — SEPTEMBER 18, 2024) Xiomara Giordano, assistant vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion and chief diversity officer at Empire State University, has been appointed to the board of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE).

Giordano will serve a three-year term and take an oath of office during NADOHE’s annual business meeting in March. NADOHE is a leader in the national and international conversation on diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.

Giordano holds a Master of Science degree in educational policy and leadership with a focus on higher education from the State University of New York at Albany. She graduated with Latin honors from Smith College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Portuguese literature.
