Empire State University launches new SUNY Empire News website

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – JULY 9, 2024) The Office of Communications at Empire State University is pleased to announce a new external news site for students, faculty, staff, the media, and community members.

The new home for SUNY Empire News provides a clean, streamlined way to access university content including press releases, recent media placements, university statements, and faculty, staff, and student profiles. The site also features a database of our faculty experts and their focus areas, and a media kit for broadcast, audio, and print news organizations.

The SharePoint version of SUNY Empire News will remain in place for employee-focused internal content. Roundup, SUNY Empire News’s weekly news email, will continue to bring members of the university media hits and top news.

Chief Communications Officer Cherie Haughney, said “Our news site better connects the media, university community, and the public, providing easier access to valuable information and resources. As SUNY’s leading online institution and New York state’s only public online university, we are excited to have a more dynamic and usable space to showcase our innovative university, academic excellence, and diverse community.”
