Empire State University President featured on EdUp Xcelerated Excellence Podcast

(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – May 21, 2024) President Lisa Vollendorf spoke as a guest on the EdUp Xcelerated Excellence podcast. The episode, released on May 20, was titled “Championing Equity and Access Through Quality Online Higher Education”. Dr. Vollendorf spoke with host Dr. Jacob Easley II, PMP.  

The goal of the podcast is to advance educational effectiveness and equity for traditional and non-traditional educational experiences. 

“As we know, we leave the majority of people behind with regard to who we serve in higher education in this country,” Dr. Vollendorf said. “Only 37% of our adult population has a bachelor’s degree, so I like to always invoke this as a question of privilege when we talk about people choosing higher education.”
