School of Business professor honored with award from International Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce U.S.
(NEW YORK, NY — JULY 18, 2024) Luis Camacho, assistant professor in the School of Business and academic director for the International Education Program in the Dominican Republic, has been recognized by the International Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce U.S. for his contributions to the Hispanic community.
Camacho received the Global Distinguished Scholar and Leader in Business Education, International Programs, and Community Service Award.
“The Hispanic community takes immense pride in your distinguished roles, which undoubtedly significantly impact both the student population and the broader community,” President International IECCUS Hugo Cartagena wrote in the award letter to Camacho. “Your contributions are pivotal in nurturing the next generation of students, scholars, and entrepreneurs poised to excel in international business.”
In addition to Camacho’s work at Empire State University, he serves as editor-in-chief of the Latin American Business and Sustainability Review (LABSREVIEW), and conference chair for the Academy of Latin American Business and Sustainability Studies (ALBUS).
