Empire State University celebrated the recipients of its 2025 Alumni Awards last week, with a ceremony and dinner at the Saratoga National Golf Club. The special event was held on Thursday, October 16, and included alumni, faculty, and staff.  

The Alumni Awards recognize outstanding alumni who are making a lasting impact on their communities and the university through professional, philanthropic, and volunteer accomplishments. 

The recipients of this year’s awards were: 

  • Emerging Leader: Timothy Johnson ’24, ’25 
  • Community Impact: Jason Torreano ’14 
  • Veteran Service Award: Michele Johnson ’19 
  • Professional Excellence: Elliott Murphy ’88
